Time line
The present progressive is used for actions going on in the moment of speaking and for actions taking place only for a short period of time.
 affirmative:
am playing volleyball.
He/she/it is playing volleyball. 
We/you/they are playing volleyball.

Negative: 
am not playing volleyball.
He/she/it is not playing volleyball. 
We/you/they are not playing volleyball.

Yes or no questions. 
Am I playing volleyball?
Is he/she/it playing volleyball? 
Are we/you/they playing volleyball?
